Pour limiter les conséquences néfastes sur l’environnement des produits à usage unique constitués de plastique, la règlementation européenne prévoit une obligation d’information des consommateurs par le biais d’un marquage. Lequel ?


Marquage des produits à usage unique en plastique : pourquoi ? Comment ?

Depuis le 3 octobre 2021, certains produits à usage unique doivent obligatoirement comporter un marquage permettant d’informer les consommateurs :

  • de la présence de plastique dans les produits ou leurs emballages ;
  • et des conséquences néfastes sur l’environnement lorsqu’ils sont jetés dans la nature.

Les produits concernés par cette nouvelle obligation sont :

  • les serviettes hygiéniques, tampons et applicateurs de tampons ;
  • les lingettes pré-imbibées destinées à un usage corporel ou domestique ;
  • les produits du tabac comportant des filtres (cigarettes, tabac à rouler, cigares, etc.) ;
  • les gobelets et verres pour boissons.

Notez également que les modalités d’apposition de ce marquage (emplacement, dimension, image, etc.) varient en fonction du produit concerné. Vous pouvez retrouver tous les détails ici.

Enfin, un producteur, importateur ou distributeur mettant sur le marché un produit à usage unique en plastique sans respecter ces dispositions peut être sanctionné par le paiement d’une amende de 450 € au maximum.
