Les minotiers sont actuellement limités dans leur production de farine destinée à la consommation humaine. Trop limités, estiment-ils, ce qui les empêche de répondre à la hausse de la demande de leurs clients. Le Gouvernement va-t-il leur permettre d’augmenter leur capacité de production ?


Minotiers : une capacité de farine bientôt facilitée ?

Les minotiers qui produisent de la farine destinée à la consommation humaine sont titulaires d’un « contingent de meunerie » et ils ne peuvent normalement pas dépasser un plafond annuel d’écrasement de blé lié à leur contingent de meunerie.

Toutefois, ils peuvent augmenter leur production de farine en achetant ou en louant un « droit de mouture ». La location de ce « droit de mouture » est néanmoins limitée à 15 % maximum de leur plafond annuel d’écrasement.

Mais, en pratique, l’offre de « droit de mouture » en location est peu importante, ce qui empêche les minotiers de développer leur activité, alors même que la demande de leurs clients peut augmenter.

Le Gouvernement a pris conscience de cette difficulté et a annoncé étudier différentes solutions qui existent pour modifier la réglementation actuelle.
