Les déchets d’activités de soins à risques infectieux (DASRI) perforants produits par les patients en auto-traitement (PAT) sont pris en charge dans le cadre d’une filière à responsabilité élargie du producteur (REP).
La multiplication des dispositifs médicaux innovants et connectés aux patients en auto-traitement pose la question des déchets associés, qui n’entrent pas dans le cadre de la filière actuelle de collecte et de traitement des DASRI.
Le gouvernement vient de remédier à cette situation en fixant un cadre pour permettre la prise en charge et la valorisation de ces déchets.
