Coronavirus : pas de délai de carence ?

Par principe, les indemnités journalières sont versées par la CPAM après un délai de carence de 3 jours. L’indemnité complémentaire à la charge de l’employeur, pour maintenir la rémunération du salarié malade, est versée après un délai de carence de 7 jours (sauf convention collective plus favorable).

Or, depuis le 2 février 2020, les personnes qui font l’objet d’une mesure d’isolement pour limiter le risque de propagation du Covid-19 bénéficient des indemnités journalières versées par la Caisse d’assurance maladie, sans avoir à respecter les conditions d’ouverture des droits et sans délai de carence.

Et désormais, à compter du 5 mars 2020, les employeurs doivent également indemniser, sans délai de carence, leurs salariés arrêtés en raison d’une exposition au Covid-19.

Pour rappel, l’arrêt de travail est, dans ce cas, transmis par le médecin de l’agence régionale de santé.

Ces dispositions sont temporaires et s’appliquent jusqu’au 1er avril 2020.
