Actuellement, les disques se voient appliquer la TVA au taux de 20 %. Pour soutenir les acteurs de ce secteur d’activité, et notamment les commerces de proximité, le gouvernement envisage-t-il d’abaisser ce taux à 5,5 % ?


TVA sur les disques : 20 % !

Interrogé sur le point de savoir s’il envisageait de baisser à 5,5 % le taux de la TVA appliqué aux disques, le gouvernement répond par la négative.

Il rappelle, en effet :

  • qu’il n’est pas possible de réserver le bénéfice d’un taux réduit de TVA à la musique enregistrée vendue sous forme de disques, sans en faire bénéficier la musique dématérialisée proposée par les services de téléchargement ou de streaming ;
  • que la dépense fiscale induite par cette mesure serait trop élevée ;
  • qu’une telle décision suppose, au préalable, de réviser une partie de la directive européenne relative au système commun de TVA.

Pour le moment donc, le taux de TVA appliqué aux disques reste fixé à 20 %.
